many have said we are born with natural talent... i know that i was born with passion and enthusiasm. where i have focused that passion and enthusiasm i have excelled. my love of endurance sports began early as an age group swimmer, transitioned to ultra-running and triathlon. endurance sports provided me with many opportunities to traveled the world experiencing different peoples, cultures and customs. at a very tender age i knew i wanted to capture the spirit and essence of people, that which i saw in their faces. my career choice was validated on a family trip to Disneyland where i saw people doing portraiture on main street... a six year old's dream to work at the mouse house!
i continue to integrate sports and art into an expanding career. i offer fine art, portraits, illustration and graphic design services. i facilitate an aquatics program and offer stroke analysis at the Capital Athletic Club in sacramento ca. www.capitalac.com. i work for the Danskin Women's Triathlon Series, an eight race series with special attention focused on the first time triathlete. www.danskin.com . though i do not work at Disneyland you can contact me at ardisbow@pacbell.net to discuss your project.
the good humor folks coined the phrase "do what you like - like what you do"... i do what i love and love what i do.
i believe we are spiritual beings on a human path. a path chosen to explore what it is to experience individuality, to experience a sense of separation from our core - that from which all creation manifests. that core is love...fear is what fills us when we forget, temporarily losing touch with that which lies deep within. we are forever slipping in and out of a cloud bank. a game of hide and seek with the Divine that resides in all. i have been blessed with keen awareness. with that awareness a deep sense of appreciation and a passion to express what i know to be true. a truth best spoken without words. a truth that resonates and in that resonation inspires us to open to the joy, beauty, and love that is constant... just waiting recognition.
